The challenge for conveyor belts, process flat belts and timing belts is the variety of applications that paper manufacturing and processing yields. The high process speed, and abrasive nature of the material raises great demands on the properties of belts. Low elongation, high abrasion resistance and a choice of different coefficients of friction are required. For materials suitable for vacuum applications, the ability to do mechanical machining, e.g. punching, drilling or milling is essential.
